Connect 8 has a track record of developing techniques, standards and equipment that enables us to provide civil works and install pipelines and cable at unprecedented installation rates. For example, Connect 8 pioneered a loose tube fibre cable blowing methodology that produced installation rates of 15 to 20km per day when the industry standard was less than half that rate.

With the theme of Innovative use of telecommunications services presentations by senior representatives from government; industry, content providers, and major users will explore the new opportunities and industry developments and regulation. It will focus on how the telecommunications industry is evolving; take-up of the UFB; RBI and 4G; and include major user case studies from content providers, healthcare, education and big business; and showcase the latest technologies.

Downstream will be held 2nd – 3rd March 2016 at the SkyCity Convention Centre in Auckland.
Downstream brings the key regulatory, strategic, commercial and stakeholder issues to the table in a unique event that is heavy on discussion panels and high-level presentations.
Since the inaugural event in 2012, Downstream has grown to attract over 350 delegates from 150 organisations.
